DESCRIPTION
In 1967, Rolex introduced a legendary dive watch: the first Sea-Dweller-Reference 1665. Thanks to its helium escape valve, a different case design and thicker plexiglass, this timepiece could withstand a dive down to 610 meters.
The present example is an unpolished ref. 1665 Double-Red-Sea-Dweller Mk IV with a rare and sought after double-red dial. In fact, the double-red dial was the first dial version to be produced. The watch comes with a Rolex service invoice from 2011 and its original box.
