DESCRIPTION

The Patek Philippe reference 3466 is the kind of watch that flies completely under the radar—and that’s exactly its appeal. Produced for a short period between the 1962 and late ’60s, with an estimated 500–800 pieces made, it remains one of the rarest large Calatravas in stainless steel. Fewer than a hundred examples have ever surfaced publicly, making it a true insider’s watch.

Uniquely, it’s the only steel, self-winding model within the 34xx Calatrava series. Its 35mm case, with clean lines and downturned lugs, echoes the design of the sought-after ref. 3417 "Anti-Magnetic”, while the minimalist dial with subtle sunburst finishing keeps things timeless and elegant.

Inside beats the calibre 27-460, one of Patek Philippe’s earliest and most respected self-winding movements. Renowned for its reliability and engineering quality, it is still considered by many collectors to be among the finest automatic calibres of its era. In the 3466, it reinforces the watch’s dual identity: understated on the outside, technically serious within.
