DESCRIPTION
Presented at Baselworld 2018, the 5270P-001 is housed in a 41 mm platinum case, it combines a perpetual calendar and chronograph in a design that draws inspiration from some of Patek Philippe’s most admired vintage references. Black Arabic numerals and matching hands provide strong contrast, enhancing the dial’s warmth and character.
Powering the watch is the in-house CH 29-535 PS Q caliber, a manually wound movement that combines a column-wheel chronograph with a perpetual calendar, moonphase display, leap-year indication, and day/night indicator. Visible through the sapphire caseback, the movement is renowned for its traditional architecture, technical sophistication, and exceptional hand-finishing.
While the 5270 has often been compared to its legendary predecessor, the Ref. 5970, the platinum salmon-dial version quickly established itself as one of the most desirable references. Combining one of Patek Philippe’s most iconic dial colors with a highly complex grand complication, the 5270P stands as a modern classic and a showcase of the brand’s watchmaking excellence.
